Discover the EiTV ATSC 3.0 solutions
EiTV Broadcast App Automation Suite
• Cutting-edge solution tailored for TV broadcasters seeking seamless content generation and distribution.
• Capture content from diverse sources, including SDI, HD-SDI, HDMI, ASI, ATSC3, and IP inputs via Ethernet.
• AI driven video segment generation from the live stream, producing comprehensive metadata, including CC tracks, title, description, summary, and hashtags.
• Every segment is transcoded to DASH and HLS, ensuring compatibility across platforms.
• Security is paramount – all content is encrypted with AES128 and delivered with DRM compliance, supporting Widevine and Fairplay.
• All segments are hosted and distributed using EiTV CLOUD, an AWS-based video platform.
EiTV ATSC 3.0 Lab Station
EiTV Lab Station is a ATSC 3.0 broadcast stream generator. It provides ATSC 3.0 Low Level Signaling (LLS), ROUTE, NRT and ESG delivery. The ROUTE (Real-time Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport) protocol is used to deliver content packaged in MPEG DASH Segments.
EiTV Lab Station generates the ATSC 3.0 low level signaling (LLS) on the well-known multicast address (224.0.23.60:4937). It builds the Service Layer Signaling (SLS) and all related ROUTE sessions containing audio, video and Non-Realtime (NRT) data.
Typically EiTV Lab Station receives MPEG DASH stream provided by a HEVC encoder. Another option is to upload a media file to be used as the audio and video of the program. It has an internal DASH Packager to convert the media file to DASH format.
EiTV Lab Station can also extract the subtitling from the media file and convert it to IMSC1 format. It generates the appropriate UDP multicast outputs containing the ROUTE sessions and signaling.
For a broadcast scenario, these multicast transmissions are sent to an ATSC 3.0 Scheduler/Modulator. In a laboratory environment we recommend the use of Dektec Atsc3Xpress signal generator and DTU-315 modulator.
EiTV Lab Station allows ATSC 3.0 applications to be signed at the time of delivery and broadcasted as NRT data or with the remote URL signalized at the HELD. It includes the following capabilities:
• ROUTE Encoder;
• Low Level Signaling (LLS);
• Service Level Signaling (SLS);
• Captioning (IMSC1);
• Electronic Service Guide (ESG);
• Application Signaling (HELD);
• Advanced Emergency Alert Table (AEAT);
• Onscreen Message Notification fragments;
• ROUTE sessions for carriage of video, audio and NRT data for each service.
EiTV ATSC 3.0 Analyzer Box
• EiTV ATSC 3.0 Analyzer Box can receive ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 OTA channels using an antenna.
• It has a webserver responding to the box's IP address, which gives access to a web application for ATSC 3.0 signal analysis and monitoring.
• Shows the details of services that are received such as audio and video streams, subtitles, signage tables, applications, electronic service guide information, among other information.
• Can be connect to a TV using the HDMI output.
• Decoding, download capture of SLS fragments (USBD, S-TSID, HELD, MPD among others).
• Graphical display of bandwidth of SLS and ROUTE sections.
• ROUTE flow analysis.
• Ethernet, RF and PCAP file inputs.
• Video thumbnails, AV metadata and bitrates.
• Validates SLT, SLS and other signaling info.
• Visualizing ESG and program data.
• Viewing apps info in the HELD tables.
• Writing and executing PCAP files.
